About
Workout apps suck.
This here is a free app for people that know how to workout. Period. I've lifted heavy weights my whole life. I'm still learning, but I have never needed a "how-to-workout" guide inside my app for tracking workouts. If you are just getting started on your fitness journey, find a trainer or ask someone at the gym that knows more than you. Go to exrx.net and look stuff up.
It's free to everyone, everywhere. It will not be served from the Apple or Google App stores. It doesn't need to interface with your phones native OS. It doesn't need to track your steps and more importantly it doesn't open up any connections to your other phone apps to mine your data. This is a spiral bound notebook covered with sweat and barely readable handwritten notes.
The code is open source. You know how to code and want to do something better? Have fun. Branch from https://github.com/createadrln/ripped-coding-workout-planner.
This thing isn't for everyone. I'm a developer with a busy life. I'm not trying to make this the best fitness app ever. I'm using it every day so it helps me get better at the gym. I'm not going to work on it because someone give me feedback. Don't waste your time. But if you do like it and want to let me know, go buy a shirt from flexing365.com. I also like to make art and graphics in my limited free time.
Otherwise, have fun and good luck. If you are really interested in developing some good workout routines and don't know where to start and want to connect I'll try to help. Contact me and let me know where you are at and what you need.
Thanks. R-Mac
